Chandigarh : Though there is no official word from the Chief Minister Office, Youth Congress activists on Wednesday extended their congratulations to Gidderbaha MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for “getting Rahul Gandhi’s nod to become the Transport Minister” in Capt Amarinder Singh’s Cabinet.

The over enthusiastic fan following of Warring posted different messages on Facebook and other social networking platforms. Interestingly, neither Warring countered them nor did the CMO come up with clarification on the point.

However, people close to Sangrur MLA Vijay Inder Singla and Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra termed it a mere rumour, claiming that chances of the two to get elevated as Cabinet ministers were stronger that Warring, as the two were senior to him in politics with also mentioning that the latter was already holding the top post in Indian Youth Congress.

It is pertinent to mention that all three are considered equally close to AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi.

At present there are nine ministers in the Cabinet, including the chief minister. The expansion of Amarinder’s Cabinet is awaited since it was constituted about four months ago but the move was twice put on hold for different reasons.
