Congress leader meets NRIs, assures govt help in Punjab

Ludhiana : Senior Congress leader KK Bawa who is on three week tour in America and Canada met NRI Punjabis.
While addressing a gathering of NRIs in Toronto, General Secretary of Congress KK Bawa said that the Congress government led by Captain Amarinder Singh in Punjab is all set to establish courts to settle the matters related to NRIs.
KK Bawa said that after the formation of. Congress government in Punjab several steps were taken to curb the drug menace and in four months only several drug smuggling rackets were busted. The drug menace has brandish negative image of Punjab in India and abroad but Captain Amarinder has fulfilled his promise and formed Special Task forxe to end drug menace.
Addressing gathering of NRI Punjabis, KK Bawa said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh desired strong and cordial relations with NRI Punjabis and soon he will be announcing campaign Friends of Punjab.
This campaign will help in developing and maintaining relation of NRIs with Punjab.
While counting the achievements of congress government in Punjab, KK Bawa further said that employment oppurtunies were developed for youth in Punjab.
