CM REQUESTS CENTRE TO NAME TERMINAL AFTER GURU RAVI DASS

CHANDIGARH :Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh has written to Union civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, requesting that the Adampur Airport domestic terminal be named after Guru Ravi Dass.
Captain Amarinder took up the matter with the Union minister after Member of Parliament Santokh Singh Chaudhary and several MLAs from Jalandhar met him with a request to this effect here on Friday, according to an official spokesperson.
The CM has written to the central minister seeking his support in the matter considering the sentiments of the Sikh community and SC/ST population that highly revere Guru Ravi Dass, the great mystic-poet and founder of the Bhakti Movement, the spokesperson added.
