Gurdaspur : After the announcement of name of PPCC Chief Sunil Jakhar as Congress candidature for the forthcoming Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat, the party workers in Constituency have come up with the different views in separate 9 assembly segments, for most party workers, it was disappointing, for few, they have welcomed the party decision and vowed to work hard to win this seat.
While Talking with Daily post, the party workers from Qadian, Gurdaspur, Batala and Pathankot assembly segments have expressed that the party top leadership has demoralised the party workers to field the parachute candidate Sunil Jakhar.
Fatehjung welcomes party decision
Gurdaspur: Fatehjung Singh Bajwa, the younger brother of Congress stalwart leader and Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa, has welcomed the party decision to announce the PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar as Gurdaspur Candidate for the forthcoming bypoll election.
Fatehjung Singh Bajwa, who was the first to demand the local candidate for Gurdaspur constituency, said that the local versus outsider was not big issue in this election but the party would have got the votes on the basis of six months of good governing of Captain government.
“It is on the mood of the people, who have to decide the fate of the candidate. People are happy with good governance of the state government. They would definitely vote for congress.”, He said. Moreover, the state government has also implemented the farmers debt weaver scheme as notification has been issued on Wednesday is an another winning factor for the government, he added.
