Chandigarh : Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has approved the appointment of Cabinet minister Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa as Congress observer for the Ludhiana MC elections.

Bajwa’s name was recommended by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Sunil Jakhar and accepted by Capt Amarinder, according to an official spokesperson.

An official communication on his appointment was being sent to Bajwa, who was Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Water Supply and Sanitation in the Capt Amarinder government, said the spokesperson.

Meanwhile, the PPCC president has also formed a three-member committee, headed by Bajwa, with Ravneet Bittu and Gurpreet Gogi as its members.
