Gangster Vicky Gondar encounter: Most wanted gangster of Punjab Vicky Gounder was killed in an encounter at village Sukhchain on the Punjab-Rajasthan border on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was on the run for long. The police team is learnt to have been led by CIA Incharge, Rajpura, Bikram Brar.

The encounter took place near village Punjawa in the jurisdiction of the police station, Khuian Sarwar. He was mastermind of sensational Nabha jailbreak that took place in 2016. Gondar’s close associate Prema Lahoria too has been killed during the encounter. During the crossfire, 2 policemen were also injured. Later on, the third gangster Sukhpreet Budha was also shot dead.

Also, Pistols were recovered from gangster. According to information, the Vicky Gondar’s friend Lakhwinder Lakha was held by police for giving shelter to Vicky. Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh took to Twitter to congratulate Punjabpolice, “Congratulations to Punjab Police for killing most wanted gangster Vicky Gounder and his aide Prema Lahoriya.

Excellent work by DGP Suresh Arora, DG Intelligence Dinkar Gupta and OCCU team, including AIG Gurmeet Singh and Inspector Vikram Brar. Proud of you boys”. Also, Captain Amarinder will honour them for encountering most wanted gangsters of Punjab.
