State wants Central panel on Parkash Purb

Chandigarh : The theme of the celebrations to mark the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak next year will be “Nanak naam charhdi kala, tere bhaaney sarbat da bhala”. This decision was taken here today at a meeting chaired by Cultural Affairs and Tourism Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Sidhu said the state government would approach the Prime Minister for constituting a Central-level committee for the celebrations.

A written communication will be sent to the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry to connect the places visited by Guru Nanak through Guru Nanak Marg.
