Patiala – Former Union External Affairs Minister Preneet Kaur on Saturday made a frontal political attack against the previous SAD-BJP combine state government over the debt waiver of state farmers and even questioned Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal over the issue and asked her to name BJP state government’s candidates, if any has gave a reprieve to the Farming Fraternity from the debt and how much amount has been waived so far.
She made such remarks while addressing a gathering of farmers in the area of the sub-divisional township of Samana in the vicinity of the district Patiala. She has gone to Samana accompanied by Samana MLA Rajinder Singh and during her visit, she unfurled the statue of Banda Singh Bahadur there and also distributed cheques under the hail storm claims of the farmers of that particular area and also developmental grants as well.
She claimed that even as Captain Amarinder Singh led government is trying to start working for the people and also committed to implement all of its poll promises but the opposition is trying to paint the government in black through its propaganda. She said that during their one decade rule, they themselves failed to do anything concrete neither for the state farmers nor for the general public but they have never tried to play with the sentiments of the poor people and also urged the people not to walk into their poppy traps and gave time to the state government to prove its worth.
Preneet Kaur announced that for Samana area state government has done a lot by approving development grants worth crores includes a poly technique college in the name of Raj Mata Mohinder Kaur and four road projects as well. Besides, she also exhorted the people to extend their support to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh as he is working hard to get implement each and every policy he has promised with the state people and even he already has started work over debt waiver of the state farmers as well.
