Amritsar’s Guru Nanak Dev Hospital gets two hi-tech ambulances

AMRITSAR:Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Tuesday donated two hi-tech ambulances at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital here in the city.

The ambulances, worth ₹35 lakh, were given under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD) fund.

“The ambulances are fitted with latest equipment and have space for all advanced devices. One of the two ambulances will be docked at civil hospital and will be operated by civil surgeon,” Aujla said.

“Two hi-tech battery operated ride-on floor scrubbers and driers will also be commissioned, which is expected to be operational by January end. These scrubbers would resolve floor cleaning issues”.

Gurjeet Aujla also inaugurated a new X-Ray room at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital which was also commissioned under the MPLAD scheme. “₹2 crore worth hi-tech machines capable of making X-Ray films within minutes were given to the hospital but it had no funds for the room. ₹10 lakh have been now given to the hospital for an X-Ray unit,” he added.
