PPP ‘READY’ FOR ALLIANCE, IF CONG TAKES FIRST STEP

JOGA (MANSA): Hinting he might enter an alliance wit h t he state Congress, PPP president Manpreet Singh Badal told reporters on Friday that more than 60% votes in the state were polled against the SAD and BJP.

“To defeat this alliance, we have to join forces,” he said, in a hint to the Congress and his party. “I have not met or visited any of the Congress leaders. The Congress will have to take the first step and then the Sanjha Morch will decide on it,” he added.

On members of the Sanjha Morcha deserting the party, Manpreet said the deserters had business interests to protect. “The state government is trying to assimilate our members, but it won’t break the Sanjha Morcha,” he added.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
