Manpreet to meet Left leaders

Chandigarh : Sanjha Morcha leaders will meet later this week to consider Pradesh Congress chief Amarinder Singh’s offer for a joint protest on September 21. Talking to the media at Sangrur yesterday, Amarinder had said Congress leaders would join the Morcha’s September 21 protest, if invited to do so.
Morcha chief Manpreet Badal would meet CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and CPI’s S Sudhakar Reddy and AB Bardhan at New Delhi on September 8. The main agenda would be collaboration with the Congress on various issues.
The Left parties, especially the CPM, have reservations on a tie-up with the Congress at any level. But Manpreet and Morcha patron SS Barnala are in favour of joining the Congress protest on September 7.
