Bathinda : At a time, when Manpreet Singh Badal is trying his hard to see Harsimrat Kaur Badal lose the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he as well as his political outfit People’s Party of Punjab (PPP), heads towards its lowest ebb with PPP media in-charge Arunjot Singh Sodhi. Sodhi accused him of ‘autocratic attitude.’ Arunjot Sodhi, who had recently contested the Panjab University Senate Elections in the ‘Registered Graduate Constituency’ with all hopes to get massive support from Manpreet and his PPP, was found quite hurt on Sunday to know his position getting weaker with the opening of every next ballot box during the counting. Failed to bear the pain, without waiting for the final result, he hurriedly updated his status on the facebook, which he used to draw on promoting Manpreet and PPP. In his usual Punjabi tone, Sodhi wrote on his wall: ‘Mainu Haar Jaan da Ona Dukh Nahi Hoyea Jini Khushi Es Gal Di Hoyee Ke Es Raste Te Chaldeya Jo Bhulekha Lai Ke Chal Reha Si Ke Mere Pichhe Badi Wadi Taqat Da Hath Hai, Oh Bhulekha Door Ho Gya..’
Though it was enough to read between the lines, he wanted to convey, while speaking to Daily Post, Arunjot poured out his heart, making a scathing attack upon Manpreet and his behavior towards his allies. “Had Manpreet supported me even a single percent of the total I did for him, I would have been among the toppers in the Senate polls. But unfortunately, Manpreet not only avoided supporting me but also ensured that I should not win as he can never tolerate any one rising in his group,” Arunjot said.
“Though I sacrificed a lot for Manpreet but now I have no hitch in saying that he is a dictator and it is only his autocratic style of dealing with the party members that he lost all pillars like Kikki, Charanjit, Jagbir and many others,” said hurt Arunjot,” he alleged. Speaking further, Sodhi informed that Barnala family was also looking for the other possible options as it was also not finding comfortable to move along Manpreet’s PPP-led Sanjha Morcha. Besides, sending no invitation to him on the Bhog of Harkishan Singh Surjit, where senior Akalis and Congressmen were present, the Comrades too gave a strong message about their relations with him.
