LEHRAGAGA: Former chief minister Bibi Rajinder Kaur Bhattal stated that the Badal have a partial attitude and it is evident from the differences in the prize money for men and women stating that the campaign Nanhi Chhan by Harsimrat Kaur Badal, MP from Bathinda, in the state is a mere eye wash. She said this while talking to media persons here.

Bhattal had come for paying her condolences at the demise of a senior leader, Ishwar Sharma Kukku’s wife. Bhattal was here with her family. She stated that on the death of former prime minister I.K. Gujral, “Punjab had enjoyed an entertainment program by Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Asin at the opening ceremony of the kabbadi world cup in Bathinda, whereas other states had put off similar kinds of events to mourn his death.”

She said that the state government is running schemes with the help of funds being given by the Central government and despite this the youth Congress workers in Sangrur were stopped from putting prime minister Manmohan Singh’s photo on ambulance 108. The state government should put the PM’s photo as an initiative to thank the Congress government for helping SAD carry out welfare schemes in the state, she added.

She denied commenting on the matter of vacating the government accommodation that she is staying at  Chandigarh and said that the matter is in court and the decision of the court will be final. She said that due to unemployment in Punjab, the youth is getting drifted towards addiction of all kinds and the state government should do something to save the state from this evil, which is growing day by day.

She said that the schemes being initiated by Punjab are in vain and the only development seen in Punjab is funded by the Central government.
