JALANDHAR: PPP chief Manpreet Singh Badal today said that the SAD leadership had caused an irreparable loss to the economy and law and order of the state.
Interacting with the media after attending a meeting of the Sanjha Morcha here today, the PPP President accused Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for playing a spoil sport with the law and order situation of the state which had been worsening day by day.
He said the SAD leadership had criminalized politics in the state following the police was struggling to save its face and honor. The Jathedars of the SAD not only at district head quarter but at the village level even had been made Thanedars to roost the rule.
He said the bizarre incident of shooting down an ASI in Amritsar by an SAD office bearer for stopping him for teasing his daughter in the worst example of law and situation in the state.
JALANDHAR: He said the people of the state were reeling under the burden of heavy taxes and inflation as no one had been spared from the drastic taxing. Natural resources of pebbles and gravel are being plundered by the ruling junta.
He said populace of Badal’s village has not paid their power bills which had been given exorbitant charges.
He said that the power bill distributed to him even was of exorbitant amount of Rs. 64,00/- which last time was only Rs. 18,000.
Manpreet Badal said that it had now become obvious that the traditional political parties SAD, BJP and Congress had become defunct now to rule the state. The parties like PPP and the left remained the only option for the people to bring the in power to save the state from plunders.
He said SAD was his enemy number one party and that he was determined to get the people of the state rid of its atrocities and excesses.
He said that he had no relation with the Congress but if the congress leadership approached him for any alliance in the Parliamentary polls, the party would conider any such proposal.
He said that the financial position of the state had become grim that is why the SAD-BJP combine government fixed a target of Rs. 29,000 crore during eleventh five year plan and could collect only 25,000 crore whereas Haryana fixed a target of collecting revenue of Rs. 34,000 crore but collected 64,000 crore during the 11th five year pla.
For the 12th five year plan, Haryana had fixed a target of collecting Rs. 1.5 lakh crore revenue whereas the Punjab Government fixed a meager target of collecting revenue of Rs. 79,000 crore.
