Ludhiana Congress participates in green drive

LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana District Congress Committee members led by its president Pawan Dewan today participated in the Green Neighbourhood Programme jointly organised by the BCM School Shastri Nagar and the Lal Bahadur Shastri Froum at the Shastri Park in front of the BCM School.
The activists planted trees in order to spread a message for a greener and cleaner environment. They also distributed pamphlets carrying the message for planting lot of trees around.
Speaking on the occasion the DCC president Pawan Dewan said, environment was one of the grave concerns being faced by the society today. He said, Ludhiana city in particular was one of the worst hit and it was important to create awareness about safeguarding our environment.
Dewan appreciated the efforts of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Forum and the BCM School for their noble mission to create a green-neighbourhood.
