CHANDIGARH: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji who passed away today after a prolonged illness.

In a condolence message to the bereaved family and the Namesake Durbar, Capt Amarinder said, Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji’s demise is a great loss to the humanity. He said, the Satguru was the guiding force not for the Namdhari durbar only, but the whole of mankind.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences, he said, the Congress party joins the family and the Namdhari Durbar in this hour of grief. He said, this is an irreparable loss and the vacuum created will never be fulfilled.

Capt Amarinder said, Satguru will however continue to guide the lives of millions and millions of people through his teachings and the ideals he set and strengthened.
