BHAINI SAHIB (LUDHIANA): Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh, accompanied by Dhuri MLA and general secretary Arvind Khanna today visited the Namdhari Durbar at Bhaini Sahib to pay homage to late Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji who passed away recently.

He paid personal condolences to Mata Chand Kaur, the wife of the late Satguru and Thakur Udhey Singh, the nephew of the Satguru, who has been appointed the head of the Namdhari Durbar. Senior Congress leader HS Hanspal was also present on the occasion.

Capt Amarinder recalled his long association with the Namdhari Durbar saying he had come to Durbar for the first time along with his father late Maharaja Yadvinder Singh. He said, at that time Satguru Partap Singh was the head of the Namdhari Durbar.

The PCC president disclosed that he had been a frequent visitor to the Durbar and he had twice got the chance to play badminton with Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji.

Among others present on the occasion included the Congress Legislative Party leader Sunil Jakhar, Arvind Khanna, Gurkirat Kotli, Vikram Chaudhary, Milkiat Singh Dakha, Naavtej Cheema, Tarlochan Soond, Rajneesh Babbi and others.
