CHANDIGARH: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today hailed the Congress victory in Himachal Pradesh saying that the party had done exceptionally well in the hill state under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh.
Capt Amarinder congratulated the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Virbhadra Singh who led the campaign and ensured party’s victory in these elections.
In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder said, Virbhadra Singh had come up to the expectations and trust Gandhi reposed in him. He expressed confidence that Himachal Pradesh will prosper and progress under the Congress rule.
