Cong hits back at SAD for objecting to appeal before Takht

Chandigarh : Punjab Congress legislators today the SAD could not prevent Congress legislator Rana Gurjeet Singh from appealing to the Akal Takht and it was wrong for the supporters of Revenue Minister Bikram Majithia to claim that Rana was a 'patit' Sikh.
Congress legislators Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Sukh Sarkaria, OP Soni, Ramandeep Singh Sikki and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said they had regard for the Akal Takht Jathedar and they requested him to clarify to the people of Punjab whether a patit Sikh could appeal before Akal Takht or not.
"If a patit Sikh cannot appeal before the Akal Takht, then why are they summoned before the Takht and imposed tankhah," they said.
