HUB brawl: Another accused surrenders

Ludhiana : In the high profile AIG assault case, another accused Nitin Jethi surrendered in a local court here on Wednesday. He has been sent on two-day police remand.Nitin appeared before the court of Rahul Garag (JMIC). The magistrate directed the police to arrest him and record his statement in connection with the case. The public prosecutor told the court that Nitin was one of the main accused of The HUB brawl case. He was sent on police remand after the cops sought it from the magistrate. The police were also directed to conduct medical examination of Nitin before interrogating him.

Nitin Jethi was reportedly involved in the scuffle. Station House Officer of Police Station Division 8, Ranjit Singh said, “Jethi was seen beating the NRI, Paramjit Singh, his two friends fang and AIG SS Mand in CCTV footage on the night of December 24, 2012.”

The SHO further said that the medical examination was conducted and he was fit according to the report. “NRI Paramjit Singh has already identified Nitin and we are going to interrogate him,” he added.

It is worth mentioning here that the incident took place at a restro bar (The HUB) in city on December 24, 2012 in which NRI Paramjit Singh, AIG SS Mand and their friend Fang were “assaulted” by the bar owner, Maninder Pal Singh alias Sunny Goodwill, his nephew Amandeep Singh alias Aman and other accomplices. The accused have already been arrested and are behind bars these days.
