Jakhar on panel of Cong’s chintan shivir

Abohar : AICC president Sonia Gandhi has constituted a high-level committee of seven senior leaders for the "Chintan Shivir" of the party to be held at Jaipur from January 18-20.
CLP leader Sunil Jakhar is the only nominee from Punjab. The other members of the committee are union ministers Jairam Ramesh and GK Wasan, ex-CM of Chhattisgarh and CWC member Ajit Jogi, party spokesperson Renuka Chaudhary, MP Dipender Hooda and the chairman of the committee Union Cabinet Minister CP Joshi.
Jakhar said the Committee would deliberate and report on all the facets of agriculture and suggest changes in the agriculture policy of the government. The deliberations will be exhaustive to make agricultural economy viable as India still remains a predominantly agrarian state.
