Chandigarh : Kamal Sharma, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Punjab unit, on Friday announced his new team of office-bearers and state executive members.

Seven vice-presidents have been appointed -- former MP Gurcharan Kaur, former khadi board chairman Vijay Sampla, former Amritsar

Improvement Trust chairman Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Sudesh Sharma, Umesh Shakar, Santosh Kalra and Mohan Lal Sethi.

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) representative Ajay Jamwal continues to hold the pivotal post of general secretary (organisation), while the other general secretaries are Tarun Chugh, Rakesh Rathore and Jagtar Singh Saini. Besides, Jeevan Gupta, Sandeep Rinwa, Archana Dutt, Jitendra Kalra, Subhash Sharma, Gurtej Singh Dhillon, Veeran Wali and Raj Kumar Pathi have been appointed secretaries.

Gurdev Debi is the new treasurer, Raj Kumar Bhatia is the new office secretary and Parmod Chhabra is the new co-office secretary.

A new 46-member executive body was also announced. It includes former state BJP presidents Rajinder Bhandari and Brij Lal Rinwa, and outgoing president Ashwani Sharma. Manjit Singh Rai, who was general secretary in Ashwani Sharma's team, former ministers Balramji Dass Tandon, Manoranjan Kalia and Tikshan Sud are also in the team.

Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna, actor and former MP Vinod Khanna, and cabinet ministers Bhagat Chuni Lal, Anil Joshi and Madan Mohan Mittal also find a place, besides Ravinder Singh Dhillon (Ginni), Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal and Vineet Joshi.
