Chandigarh : The Congress will oppose the government move to impose property tax, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader Sunil Jakhar said while talking to the media before attending the Congress mock session.

At the Congress mock assembly, Ashwani Sekhri spoke about a girl kidnapped outside a Batala college and rescued later. The police had not registered a case so far, he said.
Legislator Sukhjinder Randhawa said a close associate of an Akali minister had thrashed a Motor Vehicle Inspector in Amritsar. No action had been taken in the matter till now.
Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Kuljit Nagra said the state had failed to utilise Rs 18 crore for sports given by the Centre. Nawanshahr MLA Guriqbal Kaur said the government had not got the roads in her area repaired despite her meeting the CM on the matter. — TNS
