JALANDHAR: Former Punjab Chief Minister RajinderKaur bhttal said today that the part would welcome BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu if he returned home. She was here today to attend the marriage ceremony of the son of Puducherry Lt. Governor Iqbal Singh.

She said that Sidhu had boarded a wrong ship as the entire family of Sidhu belonged to Congress. His father had served the party as DCC chief of Patiala. She said that she would neither advise nor ask to join congress but it would be up to him to take decision best suited to him and his family following the bickering in the BJP at the national level. She said that Sidhu was ditched on every occasion by the national leadership of the BJP.

Lashing out at the Badals for their Vichar Manthan camp at Goa, Bhattal said that the chintan shiver of the SAD had enhanced the worries of the people of the state and the SAD led government immediate after the Goa conclave concluded gifted the Punjab people with heavy dose of power tariff.

She said that the government had failed on all fronts and worst one is the law order situation in the state which witnessed killing of four ASIs at the hands of goons let loose by the SAD leadership to terrorize the people. She said that the congress party had condemned all types of terror irrespective of its being from the state side whereas the SAD had double speak on this issue and condemns only those incidents which suit its ideology.

She said that the state government had not only usurped the funds of the Center sponsored Schemes but also of over 20 boards and corporations of the state taking the debit to more than Rs. 64, 000 crore.

She refused to comment on the Supreme Court decision of rejecting the petition of Davinder Singh Bhullar terming it a verdict of the court. She also refused to make any comment on the accusations made by former Youth Congress Chief and President of the Anti Terrorist Front Maninderjit Singh Bitta on senior congress leaders including Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi.
