JALANDHAR: CLP leader in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sunil Jakhar today said that he was ready to face expulsion even from the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on the issue of taking a girl, victim of police thrashings in full public views in Tarn Taran to Vidhan Sabha.
He was addressing a workers conference at the local Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall organized by the both urban and rural units of the DCC.
He said that he had not committed any offence to accompany the girl to his chamber to be presented in the house of the Vidhan Sabha to facilitate a chance to her for narrating her agony before the legislature.
He said that during the period of budget session from March 14 to 25, every day there was privilege motion against him and other congress legislators.
He said that the statement of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal claiming that a serious breach of security was caused due to the presence of Tarn Taran victim girl in the CLP leader chamber was not less than a mockery and ignorance of junior Badal heading the portfolio of Home and Justice snubbed by the Apex Court of the country marking a question that was the girl a terrorist meted out to such a brutality.
He said that he was afraid of privilege motions brought or likely to be brought against him in the Vidhan Sabha for raising the voice for the needy and aggrieved people and that he will commit such offences repeatedly when ever such a need arises.
