Chandigarh : The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has urged the Union Law Minister to rescind the appointment of Rupinder Khosla as Assistant Solicitor General of India, in charge Punjab and Haryana High Court.
In a statement, PPCC spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira today said, "It is intriguing and surprising how a person like Rupinder Khosla, having deep Akali leanings and connections, has been appointed to the post."
He said Khosla had remained Additional Advocate General of the SAD-BJP government for five years and later also headed a committee to look after the affairs of the Office of Advocate General.
Khaira alleged that Khosla was also known for his proximity to the Badal family.
