CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Partap Singh Bajwa will start tour of Punjab state-constituency-wise to mobilize the congress workers and leaders for the 2014 lok sabha poll.

Bajwa said that during his tour of the state he would spend two days in malwa and one day each in Doaba and Majha regions till the completion of tour of all the constituencies of the state. Bajwa said that the major issues facing the state would be focused during his campaign. These include failure of the state Government on all fronts and failure to implement the promises made during the 2012 vidhan sabha poll.

Bajwa maintained that the economy of the state was in a shambles and the Government was borrowing 12500 crores every month to run the state. The SAD had promised in its manifesto to provide unemployment allowance of Rs.1000 per month to the educated unemployed youth. Not a single penny has been paid to the youth so far by the Government.

Similarly he claimed that the law and order situation the state was deteriorating and life of the citizens was not safe. When the khaki men are not safe, how could one expect the common man secured in the state.

Bajwa said that scams have taken place in the state and sand and land mafias are active in looting the people. It is irony that even sand is being sold in black market in the state and construction activity has come to a stand still.

The PPCC Chief said that he would held meetings with the cadre based workers separately and educate them about the situation in Punjab.

Bajwa said that Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister was following footsteps of Narendra Modi and acting as a dictator. Honest officers are also feeling suffocated under his regime. Senior Badal is feeling helpless, he said.
