CHANDIGARH: Special Industry package and a Mega Training centre to train youth for the small scale industry should be facilitated to Punjab, demanded leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar during special meeting with Union Minor, Small and Medium Industry Minister K.H.Munniappa.
Special Industry packages with huge relaxation in taxes to neighbouring hilly area states by NDA government had badly hit Industry at Punjab in general and small scale industry in particular which had resulted out into increase in unemployment of youth in Punjab, Jakhar apprised Munniappa.
Inspector Rule, expensive power and long cuts in power supply had close down shutter of small scale industry, Jakhar charged. So a special Industry package should be rewarded to Punjab and also establish a mega skill training centre for youth, demanded CLP leader.
To survive in this competitive, specific training of the concerned Industry is must, suggested Jakhar Meanwhile Munniappa said that they have adequate funds to facilitate subsidy to youth who are interested to commence small scale industry.
A proposal through state government is required to establish new Industry Units and training centre, said Union Minister.
To award special Industry package, he assured to move a proposal to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, so that Industry in the state be rescued.
