Newly elected Zila Parishad, Block Samiti members to take oath on 19th july

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government has announced to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the elected representatives of Zila Parishads and Block Samitis on 19th July at Ludhiana.

Stating this here today a spokesman of the Punjab government said that the Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal would be the Chief Guest and Rural Development Minister S. Surjit Singh Rakhra would preside over the function. The spokesman said that Chief Minister would administer the oath to the newly elected members.

In a congratulation message to all newly elected members of Zila Parishads and Block Samitis, Rakhra has also called upon them to work for the betterment of villages with a constant coordination of all villagers. He asks them to implement the development policies of Punjab government in an honest manner at bottom level.
