LUDHIANA: The District Congress Committee Ludhiana (Urban) president Pawan Dewan today lashed out at the local district administration and the transport department for causing harassment to thousands of school children by harassing the school bus operators.
In a statement issued here today, Dewan alleged that the district administration and the transport authorities under the pretext of the safety measures was harassing the school bus operators leading to harassment to thousands of school children in the city.
The District Congress president said, the way the transport officials were harassing the school bus operators only led to the suspicion among people that it was not the safety of the children but something else that was in the mind of the authorities.
He expressed surprise that despite over a week having passed since the school bus operators have gone on strike the local administration has not bothered to look into the problem leaving the students to their own fate.
