SUNAM: Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has assured to take up the issue of displacement of Sikh farmers with his Gujarat chief minister NarendraModi. The allegations of some minority Sikhs being displaced from Kutch region of Gujarat are doing the rounds. "Though I am not aware of the matter, I will take it up with NarendraModi and will find some amicable solution if the displacement issue is true," said Badal. On the issue of separate Telangana state, he said, "I am in favour of smaller independent states and if more states demand this, the Union government should also consider the demand of formation of more states sympathetically."
