Friday : JALANDHAR: PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa today said that he had never made any announcement with regard to the candidature of certain political personalities for the Lok Sabha polls scheduled to be held next year.
Talking to reporters today he said that he had only said that he would recommend the names of both the sitting MPs for the next general elections. He was replying to a question pertained to the objection raised by the former Punjab Chief Minister and former PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh who challenged the authority of Bajwa for announcing candidates for the Lok Sabha Polls.
Bajwa said that he had all respects for the former chief minister and that he had also clarified his stand on the issue following which Captain Singh apprised him that he was wrongly told about his statement.
Bajwa said that it was a matter of miscommunication which was sorted out. Pointing a finger towards Kaypee sitting besides him, Bajwa claimed that there would be no better candidate than Kaypee for the general elections from Jalandhar and that is why his name would likely be recommended.
