CHANDIGARH: Partap Singh Bajwa President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee(PPCC) today strongly condemned the arrest of Congress MLA from Kotkapura Joginder Singh Panjgrain and former MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon and lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for his arrogant and dictatorial attitude.

In a hard hitting statement issued here Bajwa said that Sukhbir Badal had ordered arrest of Congress leaders out of frustration in a bid to scuttle Kabaddi Tournament in village Bhimawali in Kotkapura constituency where he(Bajwa) was invited as Chief Guest on concluding ceremony. He said that Sukhbir Badal had created wedge in the youth club of village and forced a section of villagers to hold separate Kabaddi tournament. He said that Badal was indulging in cheap tactics and killing sportsmanship among the youth.

Bajwa warned Sukhbir Badal against creating groupism among sports fraternity. He said that he was responsible for groupism among village Panchayats as well and this is the main reason villages lacked in development. He demanded immediate release of Congress MLA and others including member of youth club of village. He said that fake cases were registered against the youth club office bearers.
