Muktsar:Former MP Jagmeet Singh Brar today alleged that most of the drug smuggling was being done in buses owned by the Badals. Addressing mediapersons at his residence in nearby Charewan village, Brar demanded that the buses owned by the Badals must be checked thoroughly.

“A senior policeman was transferred only because he had found something objectionable in one of their buses,” he said.

Brar said he would submit some important documents in the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking Interpol investigation into the drug racket.

“The state government itself had submitted an affidavit that nearly 67 per cent of the rural households have an addict each. Even surveys conducted by some NGOs have shown that narcotics worth Rs 1,000 crore are being traded every month in Punjab,” he said.
