Chandigarh: Rubbishing Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s claim that he was in jail at the time of Operation Bluestar, Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday said “either he has lost his memory or is deliberately lying to mislead people”.

Capt Amarinder said he would be releasing documents in due course of time to establish that Badal was “very much a free man before and after Operation Bluestar and was arrested much later”.

In a statement here, the former chief minister dared Badal to prove him wrong on this point.

Earlier, Badal had hit out at Capt Amarinder, saying it was unfortunate that the former chief minister was making false and baseless claims about him pertaining to Operation Bluestar.
