Chandigarh : Owing to faulty electronic voting machines (EVMs), the Election Commission has ordered repolling at two polling stations in the Patiala parliamentary constituency.

The repoll will be held at Government Boys School, Doda (Booth No. 90) and Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Nabha (Booth No.140) tomorrow. The timings are from 7am to 6 pm.

These polling stations are located in the Nabha Assembly segment, said Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) VK Singh.

Department sources said they had received complaints regarding faulty keys.

“When a voter pressed a key in favour of a specific party, the machine would show the ballot having been cast for another party,” the sources said.

Another EVM had developed a snag even as the polling was on.

Arrangements for the repoll have been made.
