‘Jagir Kaur encroaching upon land’

JALANDHAR: Former Bholath MLA and Congress spokesman Sukhpal Khaira has written to the chief secretary, Punjab, about SAD MLA from Bholath Bibi Jagir Kaur having constructed a boundary wall illegally and encroached upon commercial nagar panchayat land in Begowal despite notice by the Punjab and Haryana high court.
Khaira wrote that continuous encroachment by Kaur and others has been going on unnoticed under the administration’s nose.
“Emboldened by the lack of legal action, Bibi Jagir Kaur has once again started constructing the boundary wall over the nagar panchayat land adjoining Sant Prem Singh Khalsa School. Now, she is building it to the south-west of the land,” Khaira said.
