Muktsar : Congress activists today lodged a protest demonstration against the state government for “falsely” implicating Gidderbaha MLA Amarinder Singh ‘Raja Warring’ in a drug smuggling case. They also burnt an effigy of the government and raised slogans against the Mansa SSP.

The Congress activists gathered under the leadership of Narinder Singh Kauni also blocked the road for a while. The protesters demanded a CBI probe and also handed over a memorandum to Naib Tehsildar, Doda, Baljinder Singh.

The protesters said they would intensify their stir if they state government continued its "vendetta" politics.
