Govt ignoring NPC recommendations: Jakhar

FEROZPUR: Leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sunil Jakhar on Friday denounced the Punjab government for tweaking not only the recommendations of the National Police Commission (NPC)but also directions of Supreme Court in creating Police Complaints Authority (PCA) at state- as well as district-level.

Saying that the common man will continue to suffer injustice, Jakhar added that he would approach the court of law in case the directions of the apex court were not complied with in true letter and spirit. Jakhar alleged that the PCA creation was against the spirit of directions of Supreme Court as they were going to appoint heads at the state level as well as at the district level who were in league with current political dispensation.
