Badals neglecting Patiala: Captain

Patiala : Amritsar MP Capt Amarinder Singh today alleged Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had turned a blind eye towards the problems of Patiala and concentrated only on his Lambi constituency.

The Badals have been discriminating against the whole of Punjab except Lambi and Bathinda, but they are particularly neglecting Patiala for obvious reasons," he alleged.

Corroborating the charges levelled by former Patiala MP and his wife Preneet Kaur that the Akalis had discriminated against Patiala, Captain said ever since the Akalis came to power, they had not sanctioned a single penny for the city.

'Funds diverted to Lambi'
Addressing a series of meetings here today, party candidate Preneet Kaur the state government was on the verge of bankruptcy. It had sold vast land in Patiala under the optimum utilisation of vacant government land for hundreds of crore rupees, but instead of spending the proceeds on the city's development, the same were diverted to Bathinda and Lambi, she alleged.
