Talwandi Sabo : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief Pratap Singh Bajwa on Friday asked the Punjab Police to function without any fear of Akalis and not to obey any illegal orders.

Addressing a string of election rallies held in different villages of the constituency, he called upon the policemen in the state to listen to the voice of their conscience rather than following orders of the Akali rulers. He said that the deterioration of law and order situation was evident from the daylight kidnapping of a child in Amritsar where the goons kidnapped a child from the gate of his house after he alighted from the school bus. He said that crime could not flourish without political patronage. He urged the people to eradicate this regime by making Congress win in Talwandi Sabo and Patiala by-polls.

The PPCC Chief alleged that only the addicts were booked in name of arresting drug smugglers and the drugs continued to be openly available as before. Bajwa addressed a series of election meetings in Bagha, Ramsara, Phulo Kheri, Rattangarh (Kanakwal), Gatwali, Giana, Malkana, Jajjal, Rama Mandi and Talwandi Sabo villages.
