Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday gave in principle approval to the Master Plan for the development of Banur as an industrial hub and directed the Country and Town Planning Department to immediately make necessary amendments for time-bound completion of the project.
Pushwinder, who passed away here at his residence last evening, is survived by his wife and two sons, Angad and Kabir.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled Pushwinder Chowdhary’s immense contribution as a prolific writer, who had regularly contributed to The Tribune for long. He described Chowdhary as a fine human being who had always been a source of inspiration for his wife to excel in the field of theatre.
Raveen Thukral, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, also expressed his sympathies for the bereaved family, remembering Chowdhary as a columnist of deep understanding, who made a mark with his creative writings.
