Chandigarh : Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira today dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reign in the Badals as he (PM) had often taken a high moral ground, promising to cleanse the political system.

He claimed that not content with the two luxurious five-star hotels at Gurgaon, the Badals had now started building another five-star resort, under the banner of Metro Eco Greens, near New Chandigarh.

"A six-lane highway is being constructed on the PGI-Siswan-Kurali road to link the hotel to Chandigarh although there is much more traffic pressure on the Ludhiana-Kharar-Chandigarh road," Khaira pointed out.

"The Badal-Majithia-Kairon clans are altering, tampering and tailoring government policies tosuit their large business empires. Therefore, the Congress dares the PM to set an example by reigning in the Badal clan. In case, Modi fails to do so, it will be presumed that his stance on conflict of interest is merely a farce and an attempt to hoodwink the country," said Khaira.
