Shiromani Akali Dal(Badal)- BJP led Government which ruled Punjab for ten years has backstabbed the youth of Punjab said Health Minister Brahm Mohindra while addressing the media at Bathinda today. Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal is again and again talking about the AIIMS and misguiding the people of the state specially Bathinda, Mohindra further said. Elaborating about AIIMS, Mohindra said that how the SAD-BJP government sat on the project for two and half years with Government of India doing nothing in the progress of AIIMS. SAD-BJP government took two and half years just to lay the foundation stone of the AIIMS that too just ahead of the assembly elections, interestingly no land was transferred till then. The 180 acres of land was given ex-post facto approval by the cabinet on September 20 after our Government took over. Now can Harsimrat Kaur Badal tell the people of Punjab which AIIMS she was talking, for so long when her own government in the state and the centre was there and no land was transferred since 20-04-15. Mohindra further said that the congress Government led by Capt. Amarinder Singh made all the efforts to address all the pending issues, thus making this project see the day of light in two years of time. Taking on the Union Minister, Mohindra said that she was saying that the state government was not cooperating, but the truth of the matter is PGI wrote to the Additional Secretary Health to start the classes in Baba Farid University on Dated 2503-19, while we have responded back to the Vice Chancellor Baba Farid on 27-03-19. Now can the Union Minister tell who has to start the classes, instead of issuing the statements in the media and befooling the people of Punjab why doesn’t she go and sit in Delhi and get the final approval letter from GOI. It is pertinent to mention here that the sites for starting the classes were also proposed by our Government. On the issue of power grid to AIIMS, Mohindra said that in a joint meeting with all the stakeholders on November 26, 2018 and January 9, 2019 it has already been decided that PSPCL would provide 3MW load by April 30, 2019 and unlimited load by May 31, 2019. Now if there is delay in the completion of the building of AIIMS and start of OPD then who is to be blamed for this. Badal should instead apologise from the people of Punjab and Bathinda for not making it up in the stipulated time rather than passing the buck on us. Mohindra, while taking head on the Union minister, further said that she should tell the truth to people of Punjab. How many students from Punjab will get admission to AIIMS and how many will get admission to medical college Mohali? Badal should reply to the youth of Punjab. The fact is, in AIIMS there is no reservation of the home state for admitting students but if there is medical college in Mohali of 100 seats, 85 students will be admitted from the state. Now I again ask Badal to reply on the medical college Mohali, which project was intentionally scrapped by Parkash Singh Badal. The then chief minister, and close relative of the Union Minister.
