CHANDIGARH: Slamming Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s tweets, wherein she is questioning him on his grandfather’s relations with General Dyer,chief minister Amarinder Singh said she should brush up her history, instead of expending her energy in launching twitter tirades.
The CM tweeted, “You wilfully continue to ignore the ignominious history of your forefathers.”
In an earlier tweet, he had written: “Amazed at how dumb someone can be! Can’t you see the difference @HarsimratBadal_ between General Dyer and Michael O’Dwyer, Punjab’s LG who had no role in #JallianwalaBaghMassacre and was assassinated by Udham Singh? Are you so desperate that you’ll spread any disinformation to win?”
Responding to her tweet repeating PM Modi’s remark that he, insulted the Jallianwala martyrs by not attending the Centre’s event, he said the Badals reduced themselves as puppets in the hands of the BJP.
