Amritsar : Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal said here on Monday that the heroic saga of the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre needed to be retold to all generations to come. He said this while releasing a book on the greatest human tragedy of the Jallianwala Bagh at Guru Nanak Dev University here on Monday. He said that the countrymen were enjoying the fruits of their supreme sacrifices made by the brave hearts. Scoffing at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the Jallianwala Bagh centenary, Manpreet said that an answer to which would show him in poor light and undermine the authority of the august post of the Prime Minister. He said that the history of the greatest human tragedy of this magnitude should be passed on to generations. Replying to a question to whether he was contesting Lok Sabha elections from Bathinda, Manpreet said that the he was ready to take down the gauntlet if the party high commend wanted. Such crucial decisions were taken by the party high command only, he said.
