Chandigarh : To review the poll preparedness and win over disgruntled leaders in each of the parliamentary constituencies, CM Capt Amarinder Singh is beginning with first meeting for Anandpur Sahib from Wednesday. All leaders of the constituency have been called.
Meanwhile, Capt Amarinder held a series of meetings with party MLAs and workers, besides welcoming new members into the party fold ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
The CM welcomed Parminder Mehta from Ludhiana back into the party and also oversaw the joining of Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, who had contested as an Independent in the 2017 Assembly polls from Sanaur in Patiala.
Mehta, vice-president of Ludhiana BJP, said, “Joining Congress is like coming back home. The government is working efficiently under the CM.”
Interacting with MLAs from Faridkot parliamentary constituency and workers from various districts, Capt Amarinder exhorted them to go all out to ensure that the Congress candidate in their constituency wins hands down with an impressive margin.
