Barnala/Sangrur : Kewal Singh Dhillon , Senior PPCC Vice President and Lok Sabha candidate from Sangrur on Wednesday said, “Development is our agenda and we are committed to integrated development of the area to make Sangrur constituency number one in Punjab. Your unflagging enthusiasm today leaves no doubts that Congress will win all the 13 seats with a decisive margin”.
Addressing a large number of workers at Vijay Inder Singla’s residence, Dhillon said that Sangrur had witnessed a path-breaking development due to the efforts of Vijay Inder Singla. “Besides a complete overhaul of infrastructure, Sangrur has seen the some major developments in taking place in the area, which included the Cancer hospital, colleges, PGIMER during the five-year tenure of Vijay Inder Singla the constituency could today brag about.
He added that in stark contrast, not even a single project came to Sangrur parliamentary constituency segment during the tenure of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann. All developmental works were put on the backburner during his tenure, he said.
Lashing out at SAD – BJP, he said its ten-year old regime had devastated the state. Under the Badals’ regime, the youth in the state was pushed into drugs, farmers were driven to commit suicides and so on. The extent of damage that the Badals did to the state was unparalleled in the history.
Dhillon added “The ill-conceived policies of the BJP govt at the Centre have vitiated the overall atmosphere in the country, plunging it into a total chaos” Dhillon said the Congress was a united front and would remain so for times to come. He exuded confidence that the Congress will win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab in the forthcoming polls and that Congress chief Rahul Gandhi would be the next prime minister of the country.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Inder Singla said that the entire Congress leadership was with Dhillon and that the party would seeks votes on the strength of the development works done by the Congress party’s government.
