MUKTSAR: There are no permanent friends or foes in politics. Congress’ Gidderbaha MLA and party’s candidate for Bathinda Lok Sabha seat, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, who had defeated Manpreet Singh Badal in 2012 state polls, called on the latter at Badal village on Sunday.
With this, Warring kicked off his poll campaign, a day after he was announced the Congress candidate for Bathinda. He also met some local Congress leaders.
After the meeting, Warring said he will win the election with help of Manpreet Badal, who assured him of full support. Badal village falls in the Lambi assembly constituency of Muktsar, which is a part of the Bathinda Lok Sabha segment.
Manpreet Badal said, “Warring is a youth leader and we will work for his victory from Bathinda. The delay in announcement of candidate from Bathinda shows that there is a fear in the mind of Badals. In upcoming LS polls, my father Gurdas Badal will also campaign for Warring."
