Fatehgarh Sahib : The election campaign of Dr Amar Singh Congress candidate from Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha seat received a boost in Fatehgarh Sahib and Bassi Pathana assembly constituencies as Rajni Tulani, senior Vice President of Municipal Council Bassi Pathana, Sucha Singh Railon District President Karamchari Dal, Ashok Tulani Press Secretary Karamchari Dal along with their supporters and other union members joined Congress by deserting SAD during a public meeting held at Bassi Pathana town on Sunday. Gurpreet Singh GP MLA Bassi Pathana and Subhash Sood President DCC welcomed them in Congress fold by presenting Congress scarfs.
Similarly in Fatehgarh Sahib assembly constituency hundreds of SAD(B) and AAP workers in Bhamarsi, Dalo Majra, Hamayunpur, Sirhind City joined Congress. Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA Fatehgarh Sahib along with Subhash Sood president DCC inducted them in the party by presenting siropas. MLA is visiting the villages to get support for Dr. Amar Singh.
Addressing the gathering Subhash Sood President DCC and Gurpreet Singh GP MLA said that with the joining of Rajni Tulani Sr VP and Karamchari Dal leaders, Congress will be further strengthened in Bassi Pathana Assembly constituency. He said more and more leaders and workers are deserting SAD(B) and AAP and joining Congress. He said they will be given due respect in the party.
Kuljit Nagra MLA, said that Modi government has failed on all fronts and did not fulfilled even a single promise made during last elections like waiving of farmer’s loan, providing employment to 2 crore youths, Rs 15 lakh in accounts of all rather every section of society except top industrialists had to suffer due to demonetization, GST. He reminded the people of Akali government how they looted the people and state resources. Those joined the party said they are impressed from the development initiated by Captain Amarinder government and will work for Congress victory.
